The Powerball lottery jackpot for Saturday

After no one matched all six numbers in Wednesday's $448 million drawing, the jackpot is growing to an estimated $495 million for Saturday's drawing. One ticket matched all five white numbers with the optional Power Play and is $2 million. The cash option would be $271.7 million, according to the Powerball website. Those picking the 5 correct white balls will win $1 million, or more if a Power Play is purchased. Thirty of those tickets are worth $50,000 and the other eight are worth $150,000. The Mega Millions jackpot for the March 15 drawing is $40 million.

This is the 22nd Powerball drawing since the jackpot was hit the day after Christmas.

Drawings will be held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 11 ET until someone wins the jackpot. He chose the cash option worth $180,227,550 and received $114,091,248 after taxes were deducted. On May 18, Little Ferry resident Tayeb Souami won the $315.3 million prize with a ticket he bought at ShopRite in Hackensack.
