The Titans have agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins that will send quarterback Ryan Tannehill to Tennessee.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the deal involves the Dolphins getting a fourth-round pick back in 2020 as well as a 2019 seventh-round pick, while the Titans receive Tannehill and a sixth-round pick in 2019.

SportsTrust Advisors, Tannehill's representation, say his new deal is for one year. He had a wildly uneven season past year that ended badly.

Ryan Tannehill has a new home. His 62.8 completion percentage and 87.0 passer rating are both second all-time in Dolphins history.

James Gunn back as Guardians of the Galaxy 3 director
The script was completed before Gunn was sacked , so at least some work may be able to move forward without Gunn being involved. James Gunn was sacked past year in July by Disney after a few alt-right journalists made his old tweets public.

Tannehill's time in Miami was coming to a close with a new regime in place.

Tannehill started all 16 games for the Dolphins in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, and 13 of 16 games in 2016 before missing the 2017 season. The belief is Miami might be willing to eschew taking a quarterback in the first round this year in order to set itself up to take one in next year's draft.

Tannehill is expected to replace Blaine Gabbert as the backup to Tennessee's Marcus Mariota. He posted a 42-46 record over six seasons, while throwing for 20,434 yards and 123 touchdowns with 75 interceptions.
