Mourinho, who won the competition with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010, says he'd like to see an all-English affair for two of the quarterfinal ties.

They have also played twice in European knockout stages and, while Porto eliminated the Blaugrana in 1972/73, the 1985/86 tie had the opposite result.

Liverpool, Ajax, United, Porto, Spurs, Juventus, City and Barcelona are the final eight teams in the Champions League this season. And more than one is praying for an ideal scenario - that City and Juve will be drawn together in tomorrow's quarter final draw in Nyon. He helped Real win four of the past five Champions Leagues and it is hard to imagine the Spanish giants winning any of them without the Portuguese star's contribution.

"Because that would mean one of them reaches the semi-final, and I think they are doing so, so well in the competition, it would be wonderful for one of them and their countries".

"I think if the draw gives something like Manchester City versus Manchester United, or Tottenham against Liverpool, for example, I think would be absolutely fantastic matches". Harry Redknapp's men finished top of Group A, before booting out the other Milan side in the last-32 thanks to a Peter Crouch goal at the San Siro.

Man Utd are amongst Europe's elite in the quarter-finals for the first time since 2013/14, when they lost out to Bayern Munich under former manager David Moyes.

The two teams have faced each other 11 times in the past, with Barcelona winning four times, United three times and four games ending up in a draw. It's definitely up there with United's most dazzling nights under the lights.

A total of 61,561 packed into the Olympic Stadium in Kiev previous year for the final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Last season City would have been hopeful of another semi-final showing, but were blown away by rivals Liverpool 3-0 in the first-leg, then fell to a 2-1 defeat at home.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace fires Arsenal past Rennes
Mkhitaryan slotted the ball down the left to Kolasinac, who in turn set up Aubameyang in front of goal for another simple finish. It did not matter in the end, though, as Rennes failed to find a way through at the other end.
